PAYMENT POLICY: The system requires each family to provide a current VISA or DISCOVER or MASTERCARD. Payment does NOT go through automatically. By agreeing to Joy in Motion's payment policy, you authorize Joy in Motion to automatically charge the card you have on file. You may pay by check or cash, if you note that in the comment section or email us. In the event a credit card cannot be processed and a payment is more than 30 days overdue, your account will be charged an additional $35 late fee. Any student whose tuition is in arrears 30 days without any account payments may be asked to stay home. If you have an account credit, we will apply that and then process any remaining balance. In Fall & Winter/Spring, families have the option to go in an pay in the portal after fees have been posted or we will apply any credits and run the charges within three days after the registration. All you have to do is make sure the credit card on your account has not expired and you have selected the payment plan of your choice. There are NO payment plans for the Summer Session. Classes and camp fees are automatically posted to your account upon registration. We will apply any credits and run the charges within three days after the registration unless you choose to go in and pay yourself in the portal. *If for some reason you are in need of special payment arrangements, please email us and we are happy to work something out.

PRIVACY POLICY: Joy in Motion is committed to online security. Your payment and personal information will not be shared with anyone. Credit card numbers are not stored in our system, but rather processed through PCI compliant SafeSave Payments. We at Joy in Motion cannot see your full credit card number.

FALL & WINTER/SPRING WITHDRAWAL/REFUND POLICY: There are no credits or refunds within 7 days of the class start date. If you drop for any reason after registering and before 7 days prior to the start date of your class, AND we can fill your spot, we will either refund the tuition less 6% or transfer the full amount to your family's account as JiM credit for future use which expires after 1 year. If you have chosen an installment option, your account will not be charged for further installments if notice is given within 14 days of the next payment due date.  Students are presumed to be enrolled for the full session.

SUMMER WITHDRAWAL/REFUND POLICY: There are no refunds within 14 days of the start of a summer class. If you drop for any reason after registering and before 14 days prior to the start date of your summer class, we will either refund or credit your account for 50% of the dropped class.

CANCELLATION BY JOY IN MOTION: Joy in Motion reserves the right to cancel and/or replace any class due to low enrollment. Cancelled classes will be fully refunded. 

MAKE-UP CLASSES: Youth dancers may make-up (2) TWO missed dance classes per session. Reach out to us for recommendations. Adults may make-up (4) FOUR missed classes per session, if enrolled in any one class for the full session. 

EXTREME COLD OR RAINY DAYS: If it happens to be below 45 degrees or raining, the parking lot class will move indoors or to ZOOM at the director's discretion. Participants will be notified by email at least 1 hour prior to the class start if we are moving to ZOOM. Most of the time, we don’t have to option to move indoors.

AIR QUALITY INDEX NOTICE: If the local AQI is at or approaching the Red Zone (150), the parking lot class will move indoors or to ZOOM at the director's discretion. Participants will be notified by email at least 1 hour prior to the class start if we are moving to ZOOM.

ARRIVAL & PICK-UP: 

  • The larger back parking lot is available for parking except on Thursday evenings when we will be holding our outdoor classes.

  • To park and drop off in the front lot, please use the front lot by entering on the Country Club Drive/SiSi's side. DO NOT ENTER THE FRONT LOT FROM SCHOOL STREET.

  • Do not drop off or pick up stopping in the middle of the street. Either pull through the front lot and drop off in the lot or safely park, please. You may also park on the street.

  • DO NOT PARK IN THE MONTESSORI SCHOOL'S LOT AT ANY TIME.

  • PLEASE FOLLOW ALL BASIC TRAFFIC RULES.

  • We do our best to stagger arrival and pick-up times for classes - it isn't perfect. Please be mindful that at some times of the day, it may be busier than normal. Be careful and patient when dropping off and picking up. Try to show up (into the studio) no earlier than 10 minutes prior to your class.

WHO IS ALLOWED IN THE STUDIO?

  • Visitors are allowed in the studio. We have viewing windows, a lobby, and lounge with WIFI available. We do ask that siblings and friends do not act as a distraction or use the space as a playground. This applies to outdoor classes as well.

WHAT DO DANCERS NEED TO WEAR?

  • The MOST IMPORTANT THING to know is there are NO STREET SHOES ALLOWED ON OUR DANCE FLOORS! If you are in a Hip Hop Class, get a clean pair of athletic or tennis shoes to change into after entering the studio. Just like jazz, tap, or ballet, you must change into your dance shoes.

  • PLEASE don't enter or leave wearing your dance shoes.

  • If you are in an outdoor class, dress for the weather.

WHAT OTHER IMPORTANT INDOOR AND OUTDOOR INFORMATION DO I NEED TO KNOW?

  • Bikes, helmets, etc. that can be locked up can be locked to the white handrails on the ramp by the front entrance.

  • We continue to follow County Guidelines regarding health protocols.

  • Hand Sanitizer is located at the front entrance and in every studio.

  • JiM runs portable air purifiers with HEPA filters in each of our dance studios when in use.

  • If dancers have more than one indoor class, they may wait in the lobby or lounge with a mask on. If they choose to wait outside, we do not provide supervision. If dancers only have one class they should arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to the class's start time.

  • Dancers will enter the building at the main entrance on School Street.

  • Dancers, please bring a filled water bottle.

  • All shoes for indoor use should be clean. NO STREET SHOES ALLOWED IN DANCE STUDIOS.

  • Dancers may change their shoes in the Lobby and leave belongings in a cubby...except their water bottle.

  • Bathrooms are available for participants.

  • Now that we're up to speed and following the rules...LET'S DANCE and HAVE SOME FUN!!
