  • Be aware that before registering for each Session you may need to acknowledge that you have read New Legal Agreements in the Parent Portal.

    ***We suggest you LOGIN and take care of that before Registration opens. 

    Payment Policy: We require each family to provide a current VISA or DISCOVER or MASTERCARD, which will be charged after enrollment. Payment does NOT go through automatically. Families have the option to go in an pay in the portal after fees have been posted or we will run the charges within three days after the registration. All you have to do is make sure the credit card on your account has not expired. You may pay by check or cash, if you note that in the comment section or email us. In the event a credit card cannot be processed and a payment is more than 30 days overdue, your account will be charged an additional $35 late fee. Any student whose tuition is in arrears 30 days without any account payments may be asked to stay home.

    Privacy Policy: Joy in Motion is committed to online security. Your payment and personal information will not be shared with anyone. Credit card numbers are not stored in our system, but rather processed through PCI compliant SafeSave Payments. We at Joy in Motion cannot see your full credit card number.

    Withdrawl/Refund Policy: There are no refunds on payments that have been made. If you drop for any reason after registering and before 7 days prior to the start date of your class, we will either refund the tuition less 6% or transfer the full amount to your family's account as JiM credit for future use which expires after 1 year. If you have chosen an installment option, your account will not be charged for further installments if notice is given within 30 days of the next payment due date.  Students are presumed to be enrolled for the full session.

    Cancellation by Joy in Motion: Joy in Motion reserves the right to cancel and/or replace any class due to low enrollment. Cancelled classes will be fully refunded. 

    Make-up Classes: Youth dancers may make-up (2) TWO missed dance classes per session. Reach out to us for recommendations. Adults may make-up (4) FOUR missed classes per session, if enrolled in any one class for the full session. 

    Rainy Days: If it happens to be raining, the parking lot class will move to ZOOM at the director's discretion. Participants will be notified by email at least 1 hour prior to the class start if we are moving to ZOOM.

    Air Quality Index notice: If the local AQI is at or approaching the Red Zone (150), the parking lot class will move to ZOOM at the director's discretion. Participants will be notified by email at least 1 hour prior to the class start if we are moving to ZOOM.

     

    Arrival & Pick-up: 

    • The larger back parking lot is available for parking except on Thursdays when we will be holding our outdoor classes. 
    • To park in the front lot, please use the front lot by entering on the Country Club Drive/SiSi's side. You may also park on the street. 
    • Do not drop off or pick up on the street without safely parking, please. 
    • DO NOT PARK IN THE MOTESSORI SCHOOL'S LOT AT ANY TIME.  
    • We did our best to stagger arrival and pick-up times for classes - it isn't perfect. Please be mindful that at some times of the day, it may be busier than normal. Be careful and patient when dropping off and picking up. Try to show up (into the studio) no earlier than 10 minutes prior to your class. 

     

    WHO IS ALLOWED IN THE STUDIO?

    • Beginning Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021, Joy in Motion will be implementing new COVID protocols mandated by the county. 

      Before entering our studio, everyone ages 12 and up will be REQUIRED to show proof of vaccination or proof of a Negative COVID test within 72 hours of coming indoors beginning the 22nd. If you are unable to provide proof, you will not be allowed indoors. Those under 12 need not worry about either. They must simply continue wearing their masks. 

      If you or your child(ren) ARE vaccinated and participate in a Joy in Motion class or classes, please email a copy of each vaccination record to joy@joyinmotiondance.org. Vaccine verification only needs to be submitted once. It may be a bit trickier to keep records for those who drop off or pick up and wish to come indoors. We suggest everyone saves copies of vaccination records to their phones for ease, as we won't be the only establishment requiring this. Click here to get a DIGITAL COPY OF VACCINATION RECORD.       For non-vaccinated children and adults 12 and older, we MUST have a copy of a Negative COVID test that is within three days (72 hours) each time you wish to come inside beginning September 22nd. Test verifications must be provided within three days each time you visit Joy in Motion and wish to come indoors. That means if any non-vaccinated person dances or works out with us twice a week, more than 3 days apart, they will have to show a negative test result twice each week. 

      Masks are required indoors for everyone, regardless of vaccination status. 

    WHAT DO DANCERS NEED TO WEAR?

    • The MOST IMPORTANT THING to know is there are NO STREET SHOES ALLOWED ON OUR DANCE FLOORS! If you are in a Hip Hop Class, get a clean pair of athletic or tennis shoes to change into after entering the studio. Just like jazz, tap, or ballet, you must change into your dance shoes.
    • PLEASE don't enter or leave wearing your dance shoes. 

     

    WHAT OTHER IMPORTANT INDOOR AND OUTDOOR INFORMATION DO I NEED TO KNOW? 

    • The back parking lot with the loading dock is CLOSED TO CARS every Thursday in the Fall. 
    • To park, use the front lot by entering on the Country Club Dr/Sisi's side or park on the street. DO NOT PARK IN THE MOTESSORI SCHOOL'S LOT AT ANY TIMES!
    • Do not drop off or pick up from the street please. We want the kiddos to be safe.
    • Arrive for class no earlier than 10 minutes prior to the start time.
    • Bikes, helmets, etc. that can be locked up can be locked to the white handrails on the ramp by the front entrance.
    • MASKS are NOT required OUTDOORS. 
    • MASKS ARE REQUIRED INDOORS regardless of vaccination status and must be worn over both the nose and mouth. This includes all vaccinated individuals including staff, dancers, and caregivers or siblings entering our doors, with the exception of children 2 and under or children in a stroller. 
    • Hand Sanitizer is located at the front entrance, by the restrooms and in every studio.
    • If dancers have more than one indoor class, they may wait in the lobby or lounge with a mask on. If they choose to wait outside, we do not provide supervision. If dancers only have one class they should arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to the class's start time. Snacks must be eaten outdoors.
    • Dancers will enter the building at the main entrance on School Street. 
    • Dancers, please bring a filled water bottle. While we do have a water fountain...only the filling station is available for use at this time.
    • All shoes for indoor use should be clean. NO STREET SHOES ALLOWED IN DANCE STUDIOS.
    • Dancers may change their shoes in the Lobby and leave belongings in a cubby...except their water bottle.   
    • NO EATING FOOD INSIDE THE STUDIO! All snacks must be eaten outdoors. 
    • Bathrooms are available for participants. One dancer/household at a time only will be allowed. 
    • Now that we're up to speed and following the rules...LET'S DANCE and HAVE SOME FUN!!
